Hello Everyone!

Sorry for the blog being so silent I had some complications arise that needed handling, as well some well timed distractions, so things got a bit hectic for a while there. As such I have not really done anything other than read manga over the last week so that is what we will be getting today. But I started quite a few “new” manga in that week so we will be going over these new entries.

Today’s manga:

  • ReRe Hello
  • World Customize Creator
  • Namaikizakari
  • Tsuki ga Michibiku Isekai Dochu
  • P to JK

ReRe Hello – ReRe is a shoujo manga where Ririko, pictured above, is a busy high school girl taking care of her family when her father is sent to the emergency room for overworking at his handyman job. She decides to take on a client to ease his burden and the client turns out to be a boy, Minato, her age who is a slightly spoiled rich kid.

It follows a fairly typical shoujo experience where over time the two realize they like each other and they come into various difficulties, most stemming from misunderstandings and miscommunication, as well as some trope-like situations such as Minato’s second cousin actually likes him, another guy from Minato’s past tries to get Ririko to hate Minato because he got his girlfriend stolen by Minato, and some actual logic such as when Minato’s cousin tries to sabotage the relationship by phoning a complaint to Ririko’s dad and he hits out a truth bomb of there should be no fraternizing with clients.

Overall it was pretty good so far but now that I am caught up I probably won’t see it much as shoujo is around the same area as isekai stories in rarely updated (monthly+ updates) and switches translator groups often.

World Customize Creator – WCC is an Isekai story where the MC started out as a good for nothing neet complaining about imbalances in a game and was about to cheat when he was suddenly summoned and given the good ol’ isekai cliche point of random voice talking to him and granting him powers.

The power he chooses is essentially the ability to customize the world and environment around him. This goes from the simplicity of changing some rags on his body into proper clothes all the way up to being able to create an entire fortress from thin air.

It is an interesting story so far but they haven’t really challenged the characters too much in my opinion. Especially nothing against the MC so much that he was in any sort of real danger.

Namaikizakari – Namaikizakari is pretty much shoujo manga through and through. You have the main girl, Yuki, a fairly cold and rigid manager of the basketball team and then Naruse the MVP of the basketball team who could care less about his responsibilities. Full of your usual shoujo tropes/cliches/etc where Yuki fights against her feelings versus her responsibilities, rival basketball players trying to get in between her and Naruse, and I am sure I am forgetting some but yeah point is there.

Personally I feel as if this one may be nearing an end as Yuki has now retired from being manager and is focusing on exams for college. But at the same time I feel like if the author tried they could keep it going into and through college but very very few (if any?) manga tend to go so long term. Generally it is 2-3 years of high school or college (and those are few enough as it is) and a time jump to marriage or some other future point of the characters together.

Michibiku.png

Tsuki ga Michibiku Isekai Dochu – Another isekai story this one is where the MC is… essentially given to the gods as payment but when he is rejected he is protected by another god which allows him to be insanely strong at the cost of not being able to communicate verbally with I think the manga refers to them as fairer races which seem to be so far humans and elves.

So far really the interesting part of the story is how with insanely strong creatures that the MC beats they end up becoming his servants, of course in the form of beautiful women, and through the powers of one of them they, along with their servants and people they save, are creating a thriving community.

Oh and orc females are beautiful little piggies.

P to JK – And I will end this, now fairly long, blog post on another shoujo story. This one being… slightly different from most i’ve read. Essentially the main girl and her friend(s) go to a mixer with some guys in their twenties and the one the MC gets involved with ends up being a police officer. Lots of various shenanigans happen and odd shoujo logic which leads to our police officer guy proposing to our high school girl MC.

It’s an odd premise I feel but it hasn’t really been that bad despite that and I am kinda curious as to where it all will end up down the road.
